What a good night to see the thousands of glowing lights, ride the carousel or train and soak up the festive vibes. Broda’s Light Show has more than a dozen songs synced to Christmas lights, in addition to a 25-foot-tall pixel tree. Tune into 94.3 FM and visit Sun.-Thu., 6-9 pm and Fri.-Sat., 6-10 pm.

Stafford Park is a neighborhood in Rock Hill that goes all out for Christmas lights. You can drive through any night, but on December 15 and 16, 2023, they will have voting. Please don’t block neighbors’ driveways or play the music loudly. Donations accepted for Carolina Christmas Angels.

At Ballantyne’s Backyard, there are over one million lights, snow tubing, a holiday village with shopping and food, face painting, special performances and Santa. Expect walking paths lit with lights, holiday-themed decorations, candy canes and lots of photo opportunities. Over 250,000 lights decorate Village Park in Kannapolis. You can walk the park but the best way to see the lights is on the Winterland Express, the park’s rotary train. Other features of the park include the animatronic singing bears which perform carols for 30 minutes each hour on the hour.

Carriage rides, live entertainment, and visits from Santa are also included. Through January 3, 2021, guests can expect food trucks and marshmallow roasting over a fire, but no live entertainment and, sadly, no visits from Santa. The event is open nightly from 5 to 9 p.m. Five-million lights turn this theme park into a winter wonderland. Enjoy multiple themed performances throughout the park, an ice-skating rink, elaborate decorations, and a 70-foot tree of lights.
